1) Our group average is 13.75, which says that our group has a slightly above-average level of communication apprehension.  Overall, our group would tend to be less open about all of our ideas, but also does not hold all of them back.

2) Strategies to avoid "groupthink"

• Have everyone write down their ideas and then share them to avoid influencing each other's ideas
• Make sure that the group leader isn't too authoritative and ensure that everybody's opinion is heard
• Split up the work so that everyone's opinion is represented

3) Strategies to avoid or fix conflicts

• If there is a disagreement, have constructive criticism to positively influence the group instead of harshly attacking the other person's idea
• Have group discussions among all members instead of between two of them in order to have a representative opinion to avoid conflict
• Assign roles and add extra work assignments in order to ensure productive work

4)  Three ground rules for discussions

• Allow someone to fully state their idea/opinion before somebody else interjects or comments
• Go around the group to get an inclusive opinion of everyone before advancing to the next step
• Create an agenda in order to stay focused and work efficiently
